Persuasions..

In Room 9 we have been learning how to write persuasions! When we write one, we are trying to convince people of our opinion.  In a successful persuasion we have to write what we think, why we think that and finish with a personal statement.  Check out our first try!

On Friday the 13th of May we went to visit the Stardome at One Tree Hill as part of our space topic!! We really enjoyed the bus ride and found out lots of interesting things when we were there!

Knowledge-a-thon is on Friday the 27th of May...

Our topic..

This term our topic is 'Space'. We have started by learning about the sun...We talked about what we already know and what we want to learn. We used a website called 'Wordle' to make a word map of things we already know, they look pretty cool!

We are very excited about our trip to the observatory on Friday!

Welcome back to Term 2...

First day of Term 2 has been an exciting one! Over the holidays our classroom was lucky enough to get new furniture....we have new tables, new tote trays and even some cute little couches in the library corner!

We have a busy term this term with an exciting visit to Stardome as part of our space topic! We are looking forward to learning lots about space and working hard with Miss Macdonald.
