Wales

Our 'adopted team' for the rubgy world cup is Wales.  This week we have learnt about Wales, and had a look at their flag! Most of us want the All Blacks to win, but Room 9 will support Wales during the world cup too!

In the red room we are learning to control the mouse carefully, we use a programme called kidpix to help us to develop these skills.  Here are some of our Welsh flags, aren't we clever!?

Rakau

Today we had a go at using the Rakau.  We made a 4 count beat and put it to the song 'E Papa Waiari', we are going to share them with the class.  We need to do lots of practice first.

Folk Dancing

This term we are looking at some different folk dances and learning them! We did it on Friday and had so much fun learning the moves and practicing them! We did the bird dance, Carnivalito and the Jibidi! We are going to keep practicing them for the next few weeks!

Art Time in Room 9...

We made these beautiful masterpieces over the last few days! It was a great chance for us to practice our cutting and pasting skills.  Aren't we clever!
