End of Year Prize Giving

A big thank you to those of you who came along to prize giving on Monday night! It was a fantastic night and I was very pleased to present the awards for Room 9. It was a very tough decision as you have all worked hard this year.

Our Summer Picnic

For our technology unit we had to make hats to wear at our Piwakawaka picnic! Today we had our picnic and got to show off our hats.  It was lots of fun! 

Athletics

On Thursday we had the Piwakawaka Athletics day. Luckily the weather was kind to us and we got to do a variety of running, jumping and throwing activities. We all tried our very best and Miss Macdonald was proud of us all!

We had our second session of Gymnastics yesterday! We enjoyed learning new things during this session...

Diwali

This week we have been learning about Diwali.  There are some people in Room 9 who celebrate this, and they told us a little bit about the celebration.

Today we had a mufti day, where we dressed up in clothes from our culture.  We had an assembly where people performed and shared information about Diwali.  Some members of Room 9 shared their Bollywood dance.

Gymnastics

We had gymnastics today at Bruce Pullman Park. It was so much fun, we did some work on the mats then we moved around the rotation and practiced some basic gymnastic skills.
