Learning Conferences.

We had a busy week last week preparing for our learning conferences.  We went to our buddy class and did a role play to share our learning with them!

We are looking forward to our mum's and dad's coming along this week to talk with them!

Don't forget that on Monday school finishes at 12.30!

PrEP

This term we have been very busy preparing for Market Day.  We made our product - Jolly Jars and made the special things to go inside.  We went through the process of designing and making the products - sometimes we had to change what we did because it didn't work or looked different to what we wanted.

Today was Market Day and we had so much fun!

Fairy Bread

Today we made fairy bread in Room 9.  We are learning to write procedures, in a procedure you have to list the steps to make something.

It is easier for us to do this if we have done the steps ourselves.  Miss Macdonald decided it would be a good (and yummy) thing for us to write our own procedures about. We had lots of fun!

First we talked about what we would need to make the fairy bread and then in buddies discussed what steps we could take.

Famous New Zealanders

In the red room today we had a go at finding out who the famous people are, that are on the $50 note and $100 note for New Zealand.  If you can find out who is on any of the notes - and why, leave a comment and tell us!

Wallwisher

Wallwisher is an online noticeboard.  You can stick a 'post it' on to the wall by simply clicking on the pink tab POST A STICKY.  Post one to record your bedtime and we will use it during maths time.

Assembly

On Friday we performed in assembly.  We all did such a great job - Miss Macdonald was so PROUD of us!!

Building Project at School...

Wow - today Miss Macdonald went into school to get everything all sorted for the term...BUT instead there is big machines everywhere and lots of holes around the school!

The builders and electricians are working hard to get it all ready by the time you return to school!
